Papadopoulos allegedly told Downer that the Russians had obtained damaging information about Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
Downer notified US officials of his May meeting with Papadopoulos, after WikiLeaks published stolen emails from the DNC (Democratic National Convention) on July 22, 2016.
